07.Julwhat do you mean?

I was prepping pogiBoy for school the other day and noticed he was looking intently at my face.
pogiBoy: Mum (holding my face), you look old.
He hugged me tight and said:
“I don’t want you and dad to be old. You’re the best mum and dad ever…”
I’m not really sure what he means & where that came from - but man I feel old.

lol!
Who knows, when he’s 10 he’ll probably believe that you’re 18 like my sister did of my mom when my sister when in the 4th grade and asked my mom how old she was. Little did my mom know that it was part of my sister’s homework.
Don’t be sad. Your young man wishes you to look as young as his school seatmate or his best buddy in the neighborhood. For them, anyone older than 18 is ooold.
When she was a young girl, my Bonch would cry whenever I saod that I was old or growing old. I guess kids equate growing old with dying and they don’t want us to be by their side forever.
Correction please — I meant they want us to be around or by their side forever.
àh, old àge… We cànnot stop it from coming…
I àlwàys sàid to people thàt when someone gets old it is becàuse they get wiser too.
geri, oo nga no? When I look at Nanay’s pictures now, goodness she’s so young! Pero growing up ang tingin ko sa kanya was “sooo old”
anna, i think you’re right! I’ve not asked pogiBoy. I wonder now whether I should?
